Release 3.3.0
On Friday, May 10th, 2013, the EnterpriseRx Release Team announced the general availability (GA) of EnterpriseRx Version 3.3.0 to all customers. Many customers have already begun scheduling production deployments of this release. Highlights of Release 3.3.0 include:
Core Reports – Customer Statement Report – EnterpriseRx now features several Core Reports enhancements designed to improve the accuracy and completeness of information in the Customer Statement report. These modifications include the addition of new fields and columns to collect patient information, adjustments to report header and footer information, the repositioning of Rx summary information and the addition of new report prompt values.
Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS) – EnterpriseRx now provides the ability to send and receive Controlled Substance prescriptions via PPI based on various state regulations. The system will allow pharmacies to perform electronic refill requests for prescriptions containing CIII through CV products. Built-in validation steps have been certified in accordance with federal regulations to ensure that an EPCS prescription undergoes proper authorization as it continues through workflow.
Group PPI and Fax Rx’s into Orders – EnterpriseRx now provides the ability to group eligible, new PPI and Fax Rx’s into existing PPI and Fax orders for the same patient. When PPI/Fax Grouping is enabled, new PPI and Fax Rx’s can be grouped with existing items for the same patient when the existing PPI/Fax items are within the Order Grouping queue or exist in a workflow point before the Order Grouping queue. Note that this functionality is only available with Promise Time Workflow.
Pre-Verification – Prescription Origin Code – EnterpriseRx now provides the ability to verify the Prescription Origin Code in the Pre-Verification and Verification steps in the Retail, LTC and Mail workflows. The addition of the Prescription Origin Code field provides users with the ability to verify that new prescriptions are set with the correct origin code.
Service Pack 3.3.1
The general release of Service Pack 3.3.1 to customers occured on July 26, 2013. Highlights of Service Pack 3.3.1 include:
Support for Medicare Part D Prescriptions Dispensed as CII – EnterpriseRx will support the regulatory requirement – effective April 1, 2014 – to include 460-ET Quantity Prescribed on B1 claims. This change to the EnterpriseRx system provides continued support for billing CII products to Medicare Part D plans after April 1, 2014.
Pharmacy Providers of Oklahoma (PPOK) Data Extract – EnterpriseRx will support a data extract for Pharmacy Providers of Oklahoma (PPOK). A process has been created to extract third-party claim information from the data warehouse database.
CMS 1500 Claim Form – EnterpriseRx will make available several modifications to the CMS 1500 Claim Form in order to provide the user with greater flexibility when recording data on the form. These modifications will also support closer adherence to the standard values applied to NCPDP data.
Release 4.0
The general release of Version 4.0 to customers will occur in the fall of 2013. Version 4.0 is a required release because it contains essential regulatory and technological updates. Highlights of this release include:
Partial FSA Card Support – EnterpriseRx will have the capability to allow patients to utilize their FSA cards to pay for a single Mail Rx order when the FSA card balance is less than the amount owed. The remainder of the amount owed will be charged to the back-up credit card on file.
Parata PASS Interface – EnterpriseRx will add a Parata PASS interface to the LTC module that will give pharmacies the capability to use compliance packaging for their patients.
Post-Adjudication for High Co-pay – EnterpriseRx will add a configurable post-adjudication edit function that will notify the user when a patient pay amount exceeds a set value. This information can be shared with the patient to address financial concerns prior to dispensing the product. Note that high co-pay functionality is not included in LTC.
Regulatory Update: Controlled Substance Reporting Compliance – EnterpriseRx will display the name of the person picking up the reportable product on the CSR Audit report to meet the requirements of states like South Carolina. Users will be able to modify reportable information and have it submitted on the next report to the state and will have additional support for ASAP 4.2.
Regulatory Update: Service Billing – EnterpriseRx will provide support for the Rx Reference Number on D.0 claims so that customers will have the ability to link an Rx to a billing for the administration of a vaccine.
Essential Technology Upgrades – MPS&A will make several critical technological enhancements to EnterpriseRx to ensure optimal system performance and stability, including updates to Java 7, Websphere and Weblogic.
