MPS&A is pleased to announce that EnterpriseRx 4.1.0 will be generally available for all customers beginning in May 2014. While 4.1.0 is not a required release, all EnterpriseRx customers are required to take at least one version of 4.0 because it contains essential technological updates.
Streamlined processes save you time
EnterpriseRx 4.1.0 will include a number of beneficial process improvements. The Queue Count (Quarterback) Dashboard will provide a snapshot overview of all active prescriptions in EnterpriseRx and give you the ability to quickly analyze and adjust your resources to achieve optimal performance. By using the dashboard to improve operational efficiency, you will be able to increase the volume of prescriptions processed in your facility.

A User Login Report will be added to EnterpriseRx so that you can run a report of user login activity for your system to meet auditing requirements (i.e., HIPAA Privacy and Security Audits). Beginning with release 4.1.0, you will no longer have to call MPS&A Customer Support to request this report.
External Code List (ECL) updates published through January 2013 with implementation dates of October 15, 2014, will be added to EnterpriseRx automatically. You will no longer have to call MPS&A Customer Support to have these updated values added to your system, giving you more time to run your business and care for your patients.
The URLs used to connect you to the EnterpriseRx servers will be updated so that there will no longer be an interruption in service when you use an authentication certificate to access the system.
Key updates improve Rx dispensing functionality
Release 4.1.0 will include several updates intended to improve system functionality. EnterpriseRx will be able to create a new Queue to perform a Second Pharmacist Check on prescriptions. (This functionality has been added to the system to accommodate a Minnesota regulatory requirement regarding prescription verification.)
In addition, the system will include configuration options in the Pharmacy Prescriber Interface to stop PPI Refill Authorization prescriptions in Data Entry and new PPI prescriptions in the Inbound Communication Queue. Plus, users will be able to configure the system to print a hard copy of the PPI prescription automatically.
Moreover, you will be able to modify the Target Date of a prescription enrolled in Enhanced Refill Processing. ERP will also include an optional look-ahead function which automatically pulls ERP prescriptions that are due within a configurable date range of each other into workflow for the same patient. Lastly, you will have the option of using a modified ERP calculation that will take into account a patient’s on-hand days supply of prescriptions to prevent un-enrollment due to patients perceiving their refills are filled too soon.
